With all eyes on the trot-up for Burghley, it’s not just the horses; we’ll be admiring.. We’ll also be checking out their outfits!
In this feature, we take a look at some style trends filtering through for autumn to see if any of our fabulous riders will be picking up on them this September!
We saw some cool head wear last year, and fascinators seem the way to go! Choosing the less is more when it comes to the trot up (for obvious reasons!), but they really do finish off an outfit perfectly! We love this Timothy Foxx Feather, Tweed & Sinamay Fascinator with its flash of pink. They also do bespoke so that you can create the perfect look and feather length!
We always see a lot of tweed at the trot up and this year no doubt there will be plenty on show. Traditional tweed is def out of the stable door and tweed with a fashionable twist is in!We love this new Timothy Foxx Trinity Jacket, tailored tweed with some gorgeous military styling and a pop of colour also. Perfect for riders who want to have a smart jacket without looking too formal. Available in two different styles of tweed RRP: £345. Sizes: 8 -16
Ponchos were a big look last year, and we love these news ones from equestrian fashion brand Equetech. The Equetech Tweed Poncho features a plush velvet detail on the neck is really smart and means you can compliment them with your boots or trousers for a great coordinated look. RRP: £119.95
Jewellery needs to be kept small, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t add a touch of equestrian styling as a style statement. We love the new Sylvia Kerr Jewellery Collections paying homage to the designer’s love of horses. These
Sylvia Kerr Jewellery Badminton Earrings feature a gorgeous stirrup detail and tack leather and also feature bracelets in the range that match. Great for riders wearing their hair up and want something that works perfectly. RRP: £228
Adding colour to your outfit couldn’t be simpler, and this winter, turquoise tones
are a huge catwalk trend. An easy to wear colour against any skin tone, we love these BHOID Skinny Silk Scarves. Their Pheasant feather detail, tick that countryside box and can be worn around the neck or tied on your handbag for a great look every day. RRP: £62
Footwear is always a big consideration, after all, you need to run AND look
stylish! These bespoke Camel and Brown Two-Tone Boots from The Spanish Boot Company are ideal for tweed as you
can pick out the different hues of tweed and compliment your look. We also love their new colour collection of Fringed Tassels they have just released for autumn which will certainly add a pop of colour to classic navy, brown or black!
We can’t wait to see who will be trotting up in style this Burghley!
