WELLINGTON

Vittoria Pannizon claimed the top 2 spots at Wellington in the KBIS CIC*** where Borough Pennyz finished 2.7 penalties above her stable mate, Merlots Magic, who although performed a better test, lowered two rails in the showjumping. KBIS sponsored rider Izzy Taylor took 3rd place on Thistledown Poposki, and also won the Milbot 8/9 year olds Advanced section on Sunday with KBIS Starburst. A total of 10 combinations were eliminated on the tough Eric Winter 3* track and 3 more retired. Notably only one pair managed to jump round without time penalties; 6th placed Japanese rider Tanaka Toshiyuki and Delago.

Dani Evans and Raphael headed Advanced section H and Oliver Townend won Advanced section I aboard Dunbeau.

The intermediate classes caused fewer problems and many more double clears were posted across the board.
