Selection ET Auction of eventing horses expanded

In addition to selected foals and top-quality embryos, the online auction of eventing horses through ET Auction has been expanded to include five young horses, already ridden. Renske Kroeze and Janneke Boonzaaijer are training the horses, and their progress is reflected in each of the horses. The online auction starts on Thursday 24 October at 10:00 and lasts until Monday 28 October at 20:00.

Keara Utopia van het Buiten-land is one of the striking young horses, a Herald 3 mare out of a Valliant dam. She is of the Utopia, or rather the Lady Reveil lineage, which has already produced a great many Grand Prix show jumping and dressage horses. Thanks to the Heraldik blood, there would seem to be the basis for success in eventing, especially since all the horses from this breeding line do very well in the sport, having a very fine canter, ample power and tact. Keara has only been saddled for a short time but is working well. Janneke Boonzaaijer describes Keara: “A lovely horse with many qualities for sport. Honest and reliable but on the ball, with a good amount of blood and character.”

Renske on the other hand is very enthusiastic about Keizer: “A supple horse with great blood. Keizer has three good gaits and is definitely a horse for the future!” Keizer was sired by Grand Slam (Cardento x Heartbreaker x Mr.. Blue), which received a record score of 90 when approved by the Royal Dutch Warmblood Studbook and is now jumping 1.40 metres. Dam Bona Dea, daughter of the versatile Goodtimes, was combined with Eldorado vd Zeshoek to produce the eventing horse Gideon, already CCI2*. Faunus, jumping at 1.45 metres (d. Diamant de Semilly) is out of the same dam as Keizer. Third dam Lolette produced no fewer than 5 horses which compete at 1.50 or 1.60 metres.

Initiator René van der Leest has every confidence in the auction: “I have had very positive responses, particularly to the quality of the foals and young horses, from the leading names in the eventing world. Already, people are forming groups with the aim of buying one of the horses. I can’t wait!”
