Poland rider to compete in Rio

Poland has been awarded the right to participate in the Eventing competition at the Olympic Games in Rio.

The FEI officially informed Poland of the decision following the withdrawal of Switzerland’s third birth in the competition, which would have allowed the Swiss to send a composite team of three riders.

The place was allocated to the next rider in the individual rankings at the end of the qualifying period – Pawel Spisak, who is likely to ride Banderas, at what will be his fourth Olympic Games.

The combination were 19th at the recent CIC03* at Strzegom, whilst Pawel’s best result in the Olympic Games was 19th on Weriusz in 2008.
