Pol Roger’s Polly is Blair and Burghley Bound

In late 2013 Pol Roger began a conversation with fellow Royal Warrant Holder, Jaguar Land Rover, with a view to creating something truly unique. After a number of years working together on the international launches of their vehicles, a special collaboration was always on the cards. Jaguar Land Rover and Pol Roger share a number of important characteristics; not least their commitment to the very best quality, and it was this synergy that led to Pol Roger commissioning one of the last Land Rover Defenders.

Those tuned into Pol’s social media platforms will have seen the travels of Polly the Land Rover Defender as she journeys across the UK and France, operating as an iconic four wheel drive champagne bar.

Pol Roger worked with Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations department to create a truly bespoke Defender.  The specially modified vehicle is one of the last Land Rover Defenders to come off the company’s production line, with its design and vintage-style furniture taking inspiration from safari adventures.

James Simpson MW, Managing Director of Pol Roger Portfolio added: “It is a great honour to be named the official champagne of the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials and further to consolidate our long standing relationship with Land Rover, and indeed the Three Day Eventing world. We look forward to seeing the top equestrian athletes competing for the prestigious title, as well as the Pol Roger Portfolio Defender and pop-up bar set up in the beautiful surrounds of the Burghley Parkland, a perfect setting to enjoy a glass or two of champagne!”
