Osberton International & Brightwells Join Forces……

The organiser’s of The Osberton International Horse Trials, and Herefordshire based Auctioneers Brightwells, have announced an innovative and exciting new sale partnership.

Following the success of the Event Horse sales at Blenheim International Horse Trials, Brightwells are once again providing both buyers and sellers the opportunity to come together at a venue, where the sale of talented event horses will take place.

On the evening of Thursday 27th September, owners, breeders and riders of the best event prospects, sourced from the UK, Ireland and the continent, will be given the opportunity to present their horses to a readymade audience at this premier eventing venue.

Stuart Buntine, Director of Bede, who organises the horse trials, is extremely excited about the sale.

“The recipe and concept is simple, we attract the Best Young Horses to Osberton, an audience which contains the best people in the sport, and potential buyers who travel to us from all over the World. Mix them together, at a reception on the Thursday evening with a well-run auction, and we should end up with a great result. I’m sure that it’s going to be a very worthwhile venture for everyone who wants to get involved.”

Brightwells Auctioneers have an enviable pedigree when it comes to selling successful horses. They have already cracked the formula when it comes to selling top class dressage and showjumping horses at their Elite sales at Addington.

Sarah Johnson of Brightwells will be overseeing the selection of horses. “As this in an inaugural event, we’ll be offering those vendors who wish to participate an attractive entry package, which should be very well received by those who wish to take advantage of it”.

As with Brightwells dressage and jumping sales, each of the selected horses will undergo a rigorous pre-sale vetting, in order to give buyers every confidence to bid at the auction.
