The Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials announce their charity for 2017

The Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials has announced Event Mobility has been chosen as Charity of the Year for 2017.

Event Mobility is the leading charity of its kind in the United Kingdom providing electric scooters and manual wheelchairs at events nationwide for use by the disabled, elderly and mobility impaired, including The Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials for many years.

Event Mobility Chairman of Trustees Michael Harrison said “We are honoured and deeply grateful to have been chosen as Charity of the Year at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials 2017 which is widely known as the world’s premier 3-day event, attracting competitors and spectators from all over the world.

“This gives a small charity like us an amazing opportunity to spread our message and showcase our work to a big audience who won’t necessarily be aware of the work we do. We are a relatively young charity but now help over 5,000 people a year to get round their favourite events.”

Hugh Thomas, Badminton Event Director said “Event Mobility has provided a wonderful service for our disabled visitors for many years and it is thrilling to be able to help promote the charity. We are very committed to meeting the serious challenge of making a large outdoor event in natural countryside as accessible as possible to all.”
