Introducing Intermediate Supported Rider Clare Chamberlayne

Our second supported rider is 4* rider Clare Chamberlayne.

Alongside competing 6 horses this season, Clare coaches all levels and types of riders, is a practising

sports psychologist and also a BE Acc Coach, BHSI, UKCC3 Coach, BHS Assessor, SHBGB Panel Judge and holds PC A Test!!

Clare grew up surrounded by horses as her parents bred highly successful point to pointers, and NH horses. She enjoyed Pony Club and competed successfully at the Pony Club Championships on several different horses.

Clare was lucky enough to progress into the Pony, Junior and Young Rider programmes for Eventing and Dressage. Through BYRDS and British Dressage Clare was fortunate enough to win Team and Individual Gold medals at Young Rider Home Internationals.

With Eventing she was longlisted for both Pony and Junior Teams and was a member of two Young Rider European Championship Teams winning Team Gold in 2001 at Waregem on Headley Kingdom. Clare has competed several horses at CCI*** level, with trips around Boekelo, Blenheim and Bramham.  A personal highlight was taking Headley Kingdom, who Clare produced herself, to Badminton and Burghley.

With her upbringing amongst Point to Point horses and NH horses, Clare is particularly passionate about working with ex-racehorses and rehoming them into successful alternative careers.

Despite a super busy schedule Clare rides all the horses herself and is lucky to be based at home on her parent’s farm. The operation is very much a family affair and both her parents are very much hands on with the horses and around the farm.

We are very much looking forward to working with Clare this year.
