International Eventing Forum programme announced

The theme of the International Eventing Forum 2018 has been announced as What’s the Limit?
The 2018 International Eventing Forum takes place on the 5th of February at Hartpury College, where attendees can look forward to a day full of ‘Insight and Education’ into the sport of eventing.
The day will bring together some of eventing’s most influential riders, trainers and mentors to address these questions and attendees can look forward to an inspirational day of training for success in the sport of eventing.
Few would argue that eventing is a different sport now than it was 20 years ago. As the sport changes we must ask ourselves “How far can we push the boundaries in our sport to keep up with the obvious performance improvements of both horse and rider?”; “How do we retain the integrity of the sport we all love so much?”; And in a sport where amateurs compete alongside professionals, “How can we continue to raise our game without alienating the enthusiastic amateur?”.
Speakers at this year’s forum include:
·      Dressage trainer Sandy Phillips. A member of the US Olympic dressage team, Sandy rode in three World Championships and when she moved to England, became a member of the British Dressage team for the European and World Championships. She is an FEI “3*/4*” Judge for eventing and an FEI 4*Judge for dressage.
·      Eric Smiley (FBHS) – an Olympian, 4* competitor and IEF Co-founder who will look at The Foundation allows for Progress.
·      Charlie Unwin who will share with attendees how The Mind limits the Body.
The key presenter will be Fredrik Bergendorff, the new Swedish Event Team manager and coach who steered his team to bronze medal position at the 2017 European Eventing Championships in Strzegom. His session – Preparing For The Top – will see him share his vast knowledge and obvious attention to detail that has led to his current position as Head Coach for the Swedish Eventing Team.
The International Eventing Forum is an invaluable opportunity to learn from top riders and experts within eventing. Tickets are just £50. For more information:
