The British squad to compete at the home-leg of the FEI CICO3* Eventing Nations Cup competition, Houghton Hall International, Norfolk (28-31 May) has just been announced by the Team Manager, Philip Surl.
The riders, supported by the National Lottery UK Sport funded World Class Programme, will be as follows (in alphabetical order):
-Sarah Bullimore (age 42, from Bedfordshire) riding Conpierre (8 year old Dutch-bred gelding) owned by Brett Bullimore, Anna Ross Davies and Christopher Gillespie
-Pippa Funnell (from Surrey) riding Billy The Biz (a 10 year old British bred) owned by Carol Toliver
Georgie Strang (age 27, from Kent) riding Ascot H (10 year old Dutch-bred) owned by Jenny Newton and Georgie
-Francis Whittington (age 37, from East Sussex) riding West Side (12 years old Dutch-bred gelding) owned by EquiMatters
Full information including running times and team order will be announced following the initial veterinary inspection.
Now in its fourth year, the FEI Eventing Nations Cup series, which provides great opportunities for riders to gain team experience, continues with CICO3*s Poland, Germany, Sweden, Italy and Belgium before the climax at Boekelo (NED) in October.
The Equestrian World Class Programme has been funded through Exchequer and National Lottery funds via UK Sport.
