HiHo Silver is a brand that has had a strong association with eventing for many years. While providing sponsorship to Emily King, the company is also seen up and down the country selling its stunning range of silver jewellery designed with equestrian and country lovers in mind.
So what’s new for this very established brand?
Firstly, the ‘Touch of Gold’ collection sees some classic Hiho pieces with 22ct gold plating. This adds another dimension to the jewellery and it an interesting departure from the classic silver pieces on offer. Nikki, the EWW fashion editor, loves the exclusive Sterling Silver and 22ct Gold Plated Hunting Whip Pendant, a really unusual piece, with a slight fashion edge and classic equine iconography. £80

In other news Andrew Ransford has just returned from exhibiting Hiho stateside at Rolex Kentucky. This was the brand’s first show across the pond. ‘We do have American customers that order through the website and met lots of American fans at the World Equestrian Games, so it seemed like an obvious move.’ said Emma Warren, Managing Director at Hiho Silver.
Charity work, community and award winning Display.
Hiho always ensures that it gives a little back to others and, over the years has produced some outstanding charity collections. Amongst others, products have been sold that raise money for South West Air Ambulances, Help for Heroes and Spinal Research. It’s that ‘feel good’ and ethical vibe that keeps customers returning. After visiting one of Hiho’s stunning trade stands, you get a real feeling of what a close knit team they are. Hiho certainly feels like a very ‘British’ company, you only have to look at the stands to get an air of its equine and country influences. At RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2014, Hiho won a three staraward, credit to the thought and skill that goes into the company’s thoughtful merchandising.
With the added lure of collections by British designers such as Alex Monroe and James Veale (featured by EWW HERE), there is truly a design and price point for all ages and tastes. Hiho’s masculine leather and metal ‘Hiho Him’ range is also proving to be popular and with the pieces making an ideal gift or Father’s Day present.
The Hiho team really do make an effort to ensure the brand stocks affordable, well made and very wearable products. Testament to this is how busy the stand gets, so arrive early and take time to ponder the wonderful displays! Not only that, but you could be in with a chance to win a stay at HiHo’s sister project the Dimpsey Shepherd’s Hut in the Blackdown Hills, Somerset. www.dimpsey.co.uk
