HARRY MUTCH – I can’t believe we are half way through the 2018 season already

I can’t believe we are half way through the 2018 season already! June has been an amazing month and has passed so quickly! Last month was all about prepping the 2 horses H.D.Bronze and Ramilo for Bramham International, and Wow, what an amazing time we had! Bramham has got to be the best course I have ever ridden around. The atmosphere, the crowds, the top riders that were there, it all made it into probably one of the top highlights so far in my eventing career. When I walked the course I did think, this is a big and bold and square ... Read More

HARRY MUTCH – What a week it has been…..

I was competing at Bramham horse trials doing my first CIC*** with Ramilo and HD Bronze.  In the dressage both horses did nice tests. Ramilo was first to go and I’ve been working a lot running through the test with him to get him ready. And all the work paod off. He was a lot more rideable and relaxed. He is quite a show off and when he realised everybody was there to watch him he tried to do the best he could and did really well. HD Bronze did his test ... Read More

HARRY MUTCH – Brilliant Belsay ….

We had a brilliant two days of competition at Belsay where I was competing four horses.  On Saturday I took HD The One who was competing in his third Novice. He did a nice test in the dressage and we scored 31.8. This put us in the top handful of riders so I was pleased with how he went. The show jumping was causing a few problems and there weren’t too many clear rounds so I was pleased that he went on to jump clear. And he then flew round the cross country being one of just six riders to ... Read More

HARRY MUTCH – If I had to sum up May in a word, it would be “Busy!”

Now that the evenings are lighter, Im teaching a lot more which I love. I have a range of clients that I help with flatwork and jumping, so the longer evenings mean I can see more people after they have finished their working day. At home, I have been training hard under the watchful eye of my instructors, and they have been helping me run through my tests and being that all important eye on the ground that we all need. I take a lot of pride in ensuring that my horses are in top ... Read More

Eventing Worldwide caught up with Supported Rider Harry Mutch following his trip to Warwick Hall

I had a good weekend at Warwick Hall Horse trials with HD The One contesting his first Novice.  We were in the lead after the dressage with a score of 28. Unfortunately he had a bit of a green moment in both the show jumping and the cross country. We picked up 8 jumping and seven time in the show jumping. On the cross country we had a stop at and also two-time penalties. However, despite this I was very happy with the way he performed.  After Warwick Hall I took HD Bronze, Ramilo and Coco at Alnwick Ford ... Read More

HARRY MUTCH – Weekend Round Up …

Sarah Carless Our sponsored rider Harry Mutch updates Eventing Worldwide following an epic journey this weekend, once which was due to end in Ireland for Ballindenisk but ended up at Bicton Arena in Devon. Ramilo was nearly at the Ferry on his way to Ballindenisk, and I had booked a flight for that morning. But luckily, we changed the flight to the evening otherwise I would have been in Ireland as well. I found out from a friend on Facebook that the event had been cancelled. I rang Bicton straight away to try and get a spot; we were very lucky to ... Read More
