The countdown has begun for the Goresbridge Go For Gold select event horse sale which, run by Ireland’s premier sport horse sales company, is due to take place on the 12th– 13th November.

With an unrivalled four graduates running at CCI4* level this year, and a further glut of winners in the three and two-star ranks, it has become a must attend event for riders and owners with ambitions to compete at the top level.

Previous graduates of the select sale included the superb Cooley SRS, who with Oliver Townend in the saddle, was the runner-up at Badminton this year.

Another is the popular Badminton and Burghley placed mare November Night, as is the American ridden Copper Beach, who completed Pau and was placed in Rolex, in the spring.

Izzy Taylor, who recently landed the CCI* at the Osberton international with the 2016 graduate MBF Harley Rebel, commented. “I’m delighted with the Go For Gold horses in my yard. It was my first visit with an owner, and I feel that one we bought is potentially top class”

The American Olympian Boyd Martin is another supporter saying. “There was a wonderful selection of horses at the auction and I bought a phenomenal horse at a fantastic price. Buying one at such good value was a huge bonus.”
