Following validation of the National Olympic Committee and French Sports, the French Equestrian Federation has named the four riders who will compete at the Olympic Games in Rio.
Following the choice made by the national coach Thierry Touzaint and the federal team of technical supervision, the horses are riders selected are;
- Karim Florent Laghouag & Entebbe de Hus
- Mathieu Lemoine & Bart L
- Astier Nicolas & Piaf B’Neville
- Thibaut & Valletta Qing Briot
Nicolas Touzaint & Crocket 30 have been named as the team reserve.
At the suggestion of eventing committee of the German Olympic Equestrian Committee ( DOKR ), the German Olympic Sports Confederation nominated the following riders for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro : Sandra Auffarth ( Ganderkesee ) with Opgun Louvo , Michael Jung ( Horb ) with fischerTakinou , Ingrid Klimke ( Münster ) with Horseware Hale Bob OLD and Andreas Ostholt ( Warendorf ) with So is et .
As first reserve Julia Krajewski ( Warendorf ) was nominated with Samourai du Thot . Second reserve is Dirk Schrade ( Sprockhövel ) with Hop and Skip , third reserve is Bettina Hoy ( Rheine ) with Designer . Fourth reserve Claas Hermann Romeike ( Nübbel ) with Cato . Fifth Reserve is Andreas Dibowski ( Döhle ) with It’s Me xx .
