Former Top-Event-Horse-Auction aspirant finishes in 6th place at the World Championships for Young Event Horses

Ducati d’Arville gave an impressive performance last weekend at the World Championships for 6 yr old Event Horses in Le Lion d’Angers, France and was placed 6th on the final leader board. The Top-Eventer from the Elite Event Horse Auction was sourced by Elmar Lesch and Iris Schless and changed hands in 2015 via their Top-Event-Horse-Auction and moved to Lara de Liederkerke-Meier’s yard in Belgium. After a brilliant performance in the dressage arena and a perfect XC round the pair was lying in second place before the final show jumping stage, where unfortunately they were rather unlucky! However the world class Belgian rider was very happy with her horse’s performance and will no doubt be back next year with her top-Eventer to try for a place on the podium by the 7 yr olds.

After the top results achieved during the season just finishing (two former auction horses were placed in the top 25 at the Olympic Games, various medals at a variety of junior/young rider championships and numerous placings in top level sport) Elmar Lesch and Iris Schless are very happy in front of this year’s auction to receive a further world championship confirmation of the first class quality of the horses selected by them. Elmar Lesch is sure that the 2016 collection will follow in the footsteps of their successful predecessors: “This year our collection presents a much wider range of horses than we have probably ever had before, starting with talented 4 year olds and finishing with experienced performers with international placings up to 2* level. Previous years have shown that the success rate of horse/rider combina- tions that have been put together by us have experienced an immediate improvement – this is a great confirmation of the fact that we are choosing the right horses and also gives our clients the reassurance that they are receiving the best possible advice and are in good hands”.

The auction is not only unique in Germany but also worldwide; no other venue offers in one place at one time a collection of the best German bred young event horses including competent and transparent guidance in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The clients will experience this year for the first time in Bavendorf at Elmar Lesch’s yard. This year’s collection offers many options for not only the up and coming young rider and the ambitious amateur but also for the professionals, a unique collection not to be found elsewhere.
