First part of online eventing auction: 14,000 euros for foal H-Ekwador

With an average of 6,500 euros being paid, the ET Auction online auction of embryos and foals bred for eventing has been a great success. The absolute top was reached by HAPPY AL Z, a foal by H-Ekwador out of a Contender dam, sold to the United States for 14,000 euros.

The quality which the organisation insisted on beforehand was acknowledged by the international buying public. Olympia Utopia van het Buiten-land, a foal by Ibolensky out of a mare by Heraldik XX son Herald, raised 11,000 euros and will be going to the United States. Only Coconut (I’m Special de Muze x Coconut Grove XX) went for 6,000 euros and will be staying in the Netherlands, inspection champion Olivianne (Gemini XX Zapatero VDL) went for 7,000 euros and Olympic Lady Dutch ES (Nearly Perfect de la Brasserie x Roven XX) for 6,500 euros.

The highest price for an embryo was 8,000 euros, paid by a Russian buyer. The future foal is by the Gemini XX son Pegasus van ‘t Ruytershof out of the mare Vigo’s Flip de Muze. She is a daughter of the world champion Vigo d’Arsouilles out of the famous Olympic mare Butterfly Flip, owned by Maline Bayard-Johnsson.

The online auction for ridden horses ends on Tuesday evening at 20:00. At present, the highest bid is 12,500 euros for Connor van de Berghoeve Z, a Connor (s. Casall) x Contender.
