British Young Breeders sent four teams to represent the UK at the recent World Breeding Federation For Sport Horses (WBSFH) International Young Breeders (IYB) Championships (8th and 9th August) supported by Baileys Horse Feeds. Former Olympic gold medallist and horse breeder, Bridget Parker from Little Keyford, Frome gained an elite premium with her young horse at the Baileys Horse Feeds/ British Breeding/British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Futurity held on the 1st August at Catherston Stud, Hampshire.
The filly foal, Cornish Princess owned and bred by Bridget attained an elite premium of 9.04 in the

What is the British Breeding/BEF Futurity and who is it for?
The BEF Futurity evaluation series has the largest number of participants of any young horse evaluation programme in the UK, and is now firmly established – celebrating its tenth year in 2015. The Futurity aims to identify British bred young potential sport horses and ponies destined for careers in dressage, eventing, showjumping or endurance.
