Leading online eventing platform Eventing Worldwide has launched a fundraising campaign to raise money for NHS Charities Together.
It’s #Eventers4NHS campaign has been set up in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Just Giving page has been set up so members of the eventing, and wider equestrian, community can donate to the cause.
As well as supporting NHS staff and volunteers – every penny will go to the NHS Charities Together fund – those donating £20 or more will also be in with the chance to win a huge prize bundle thanks to generous donations from some of the best-known equestrian brands, people and organisations.
This includes a champagne breakfast and yard tour at the home of Aldaniti with Nick Gifford followed by a Grand National Course Walk with Bob Champion.
Alice Dunsdon, the first rider to compete at all six of the world’s CCI5* competitions, will also be hosting a Champagne Cream Tea with Tina Cook and Pippa Funnell. Lessons with Gemma Tattersall and Ros Morgan are also on offer as is a yard visit with Tom McEwen.
Other prizes include: two tickets to Badminton Horse Trials 2021, two season tickets to SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials, equestrian protective gear from Point Two, Racesafe and Uvex, FMBs Therapy Systems, Sederholm, Voltaire and Harry Hall as well clothing from Holland Cooper, Le Chameau and Hyde and Hare.
These are just the tip of the iceberg and more details can be found on the Just Giving page.
Editor of Eventing Worldwide Jessica Crocker says: “I have launched this campaign to acknowledge and support NHS staff and volunteers who are caring for Covid-19 patients. Some of these people are eventing competitors themselves, or are involved in the sport in a voluntary capacity, and I wanted to give something back to them for all their efforts. The response has already been extremely encouraging and shows the strength of the eventing family. I would like to thank the people, companies and brands who have donated to our amazing prize bundle – their generosity has been overwhelming. I would encourage anybody involved in any equine sport and especially the sport of eventing to give as much as they can – every penny is going to a worthy cause and will show how much we care for these key workers during such a challenging time.”
