A host of elite eventers are set to compete at Tattersalls International Horse Trials in association with Horse Sport Ireland, including Olympic medallists, World Equestrian Games medal winners, the Irish Olympic Squad and six of the sports top 20 athletes.

The Irish Olympic Squad is using the event as part of the final stages of their preparation for Rio, whist other high profile entries include multiple Olympic Gold medallist Andrew Hoy, silver medal winners William Fox Pitt, Zara Tindall and Mary King as well as Oliver Townend, New Zealanders Tim and Jonelle Price and Australians Paul Tapner and Sam Griffiths.

Commenting on the entries Roger Casey, Managing Director of Tattersalls Ireland, said: “Tattersalls continues to attract the stars of the Eventing world. With well over 300 entries we acknowledge the number of amateur, junior and pony riders who are supporting us and competing alongside the best in the world.  It is a mouth watering line up and we really encourage the public to come out in force to see these equestrian super stars in action on their door step.”

Tatts 2016 combines world class sport with a quintessential country fair and is acknowledged as one of the countryside events of the summer. Aside from the equestrian competition, the weekend is tailored especially for families with free admission for under 12’s. The Kids Zone is packed with fun. The highlight is the Tractor Ted Experience which along with the free Tayto Toddler Zone, Petting Farm, Traditional Carnival Rides and Activity Area for older kids is sure to capture the imagination.
