Section E BE100open Jack Stancombe – Tambourine Man 31.3

Jack Stancombe

Jack told me “Tambourine Man won the open 100. He’s owned by Lt. Col. Redmond and Kathryn Harris. He’s a 10 year old who’s evented to novice, I took on the ride this season and the plans are to go novice.   My own Grouse was 2nd in a BE90. It was our first event together, he plans to get some quiet run under our belt and move up the levels.

And 3rd horse April Moondtanze was on his way to a double clear but unfortunately the strap running through the Cheltenham gag snapped before the last fence xc.”

Section F Novice Kitty King- Cristal Fontaine 28.7

Kitty also had 5 horses at the event, and had good placings with all horses including a 3rd place on Monbeg Tonic in the 4year old class and a 4th place on Bastille in the BE100.

Section G Novice Giovanni Ugolotti – Swirly Temptress 27.5

Emily also had Quinn in 4th place and Rosie in 6th place through out the event, and was pleased with her “Good Babies”.

Section I Novice Tim Price – Hester 29.7

Section J BE90 Jason Hobbs – Harola Z 26.8

Chloe Chamulewicz who came 5th in one of the BE90 sections said “I compete this horse for his owner. I haven’t evented him since last October and he had a 25.8 dressage, one down sj but flew XC to go clear inside the time! He has got one regional final so the plan is to do that at Dauntsey and then hopefully do a couple of 100’s with him! The owner is Annie Dobbing.”

Section K BE90 Iesha Wilding – Catherston Specific 29.0

Rosie Marlow who came 5th in this section on Truly Scrumptious V said “so Truly is ten and I have owned her since she was four, the plans for end of the season are Monmouth be 90 and then hoping to step up to 100 at calmsden, Ps I cried when I got placed yesterday my dream was to complete a 90 to be placed is an even bigger dream and it has given me the kick up the bum to work towards a BE100!”

Section L BE90 Annabelle Jay – Autumn Moss 26.8

Section M BE90 Ella Hitchman – In your Dreams III 12.5

Ella won on her dressage score of 12.5!!! Ella told me “He’s a horse that my mum bred out of a flat racing mare out of the dressage stallion Landtanzer. To her Buddy is like a third child alongside my brother and I!   Dominic Ruane who has trained me for the previous 6-7 years broke him in and did the first 18 months of eventing with him but he picked up a couple of very minor niggling issues so he’s had a quiet couple of years doing mainly dressage. Bud inherited stunning movement from his sire and a serious gallop from his dam but isn’t the bravest or boldest horse so we’ve spent this year trying to get him really confident! The dressage score at West Wilts I put down to Dom helping me warm up as he knows the horse and me so well! He especially knows how to get the best out of us as a partnership.  He’s stepping back up to BE100 at Sapey with the potential aim being Aldon 3day. But we take every competition with him as it comes, he’s so talented that the main thing is he is happy and trusting because he’ll always try his heart out to please you!”

Section N BE90 Amelia Walker – Millenium Mist 29.3

Lucie Guano Dent who came 7th in the section said “I have an 8 year old mare called Ella Carthiloma, who is a KWPN- we are hoping to move up to BE100 before the end of the season after Keysoe BE90 and possibly Munstead BE90.  Ella has already done two seasons at BE100 with her previous owner, but has now gone down a level to show me the ropes in my first season eventing.”

Section O 4yr Old Vicky Tuffs – Max Mcinerney 21.3

Section P BE100 Amanda Brieditis – KALYPSO DU BUISSON Z 28.1

Lisa Baker who came 5th in one of the 100s with a 30 double clear said “I am over the moon with this result I have been working so hard with my trainer Jessica Acheson this season so it very rewarding to get a great result.   I love competing at west wilts and it’s so close to home which is a bonus!  We are running three regional finals at be100 level hoping to qualify for the Mitsubishi Motors Cup.”

Section Q BE100 Gubby Leech – Timolin 22.8

Sarah Perry who came 6th in Section Q told me “His name is Carole’s Lord, age 8, ex racehorse I bought 2 years ago, to carry on his re training to event. We are aiming to do a 1* hopefully in the near future.”

We are all looking forward to the next event at West Wilts In September.
