Shelford Manor’s first British Eventing fixture proved extremely popular, attracting more than 500 entries over the two days of competition. 

Virginia Turnbull came away from the Nottinghamshire event with a double of wins, taking BE90 Section C with Coolodge Rainbow and BE100 Section I with Fidalgo Classic. 

Lloyd Newton and Waterbeck Woodruff took their second win of the season in BE80(T) Section H, having won previouslt at Northallerton. Their other outing this year at Warwick Hall produced a second place. At Shelford Manor the pairing completed on their dressage score of 31.0. 

Laura Ridout and Coolodge Sox recorded a second win in a row when winning BE90 Section D. They finished on their dressage score of 24.5 – the same score as when they won at Llanymynech. Meanwhile, Hannah Marley and Booty Boots racked up their third win of the year in BE90 Section U, finishing on their dressage score of 19.5. Their previous wins came at Notherallerton and Norton Disney (1). Claire Walker and Quantico Z collected their second win of the season in BE100 Section Q. The pair have great DSC04235
form having been placed in each of their six eventing outings this year with their previous win coming at Keysoe (1). Here they won on their dressage score of 29.8. 

Laura Greenhalgh and Stanhopes Travelling Man returned to competitive action with a win in BE90 Section V, taking vixtory on a score of 27.0. The season has started later for Laura following a broken ankle but this win shows they have lost none of their competitive edge – having accrued seven BE wins last year. 

Lucy Kemplay and Greyford Boy made it to the top of the standings having been second at third at their previous events. They won BE100 Section on their dressage score of 29.0. 

The event boasted two sections of the Five-Year-Old Class, sponsored by KBIS. Rosalind Canter took a one-two in Section P1, with Shannondale Nadia winning ahead of Lordships Graffalo. Sally Butler was the winner of Section P2 with Tregida.
