Frickley Park (2), sponsored by Ideal Financial Management, has successfully held another event this season, with sections from BE80(T) to BE105, with Open classes at BE90 and BE100.
There were 3 BE80(T) sections, all sponsored by Airowear. In section E, Kathryn Harrison and Holling Blue Diamond scored the best dressage in the section of 27, however their 8 faults showjumping pushed them down to 2nd, behind Abigail Clare and Arleys Goldmine who finished on a score of 34.7, when they added 4 showjumping faults and 0.4 cross country time penalties to their dressage of 30.3 to take the lead. Section E saw Harriette Howard and Mymwood Melody take the lead when they accumulated 2 cross country time penalties to finish on 31.8, in front of Billie Bradbury and Naughty Norris who added 8 showjumping faults to their dressage of 26.3, which was the best in the section. Lucy Dearnley and Llynhelyg Lizzie took the win in section G on a score of 35.9, following a dressage of 35.5 and 0.4 time penalties cross country. 2nd place went to Hannah Marley and Belview Bobby, who were one of two combinations in the section to go double clear inside the time, finished on their dressage of 36.3.
5 BE90 sections ran, which included an Open section. In section A, Megan Lewis and Murdoch IV lead the section from the start on a dressage of 27.3, followed by a double clear to maintain their lead, ahead of Charlotte Thrower and Lady Madison May who also went double clear to finish on their dressage score of 30.3. The win in section B went to Thomas Tulloch and Summerbridge Tipp who finished on their dressage of 30, which was the best in the section. Jane Williams and Glenomra Bill took 2nd after a double clear following their dressage of 32. Holly Clarke and and Gingerbread IV obtained the best dressage mark in section C of 26, however they added 4 to their mark in the showjumping phase which dropped them from their lead into 2nd place behind Michelle Pritchard and Moortown Alchemist who went double clear with just 0.4 cross country time penalties to their dressage of 28.8 which meant they took the win. Kathryn Woolley and Alimaar lead from start to finish in section D after a dressage of 26.5 and a double clear inside the time, meaning they took the win by 6.5 penalties, in front of Liz Ford and Tullagh Brack in 2nd after they added 4 penalties showjumping to their 29 dressage to finish on 33. In the Open section, Laura Greenhalgh piloted Stanhopes Travelling Man to a double clear meaning they took the win, finishing on a score of 28.3, with Lauren Burton and D Akieda finishing in 2nd just 0.5 penalties ahead of Hannah Marley and Booty Boots in 3rd.
In section H of the BE100s, the top 3 competitors all had the same dressage of 28.5, however the win went to Samantha Jimmison and Dayton Di Villa Lori, who were the only combination to go double clear. Connie Gill and Black Jacko finished 2nd when they accumulated 2.4 time penalties cross country to finish on a score of 30.9, ahead of Anna Tomlinson and Rainbows Blaze who came 3rd when they added 4 faults showjumping and 5.2 cross country time faults cross country to finish on 37.7. In section I, no combinations finished on their dressage marks, and only two made the time cross country. One of these was Phillipa Ward and Shannondale Beatrix, who came 2nd on 34.5, after they added 4 penalties showjumping to their dressage score. They were beaten by Sarah Spearing and Timberwolf III who had a dressage of 28.8, followed by a double clear with 2 cross country time penalties to finish on a final score of 30.8 to take the win. Faerlie Fancy and Victoria Blount took the win in section J, when they were the only combination to complete the cross country with zero time penalties. The combination added 4 faults showjumping to their dressage of 33 to complete on a score of 37 in front of Jennifer Gaskell and Huntcliff Blue Mystery who finished on a score of 38.2 after they added 4.4 time penalties to their dressage of 33.8. Penny Lawn and Eye Of The Tiger took 3rd place, finishing just being Jennifer and Huntcliff Blue Mystery on a final score of 38.7. In the BE100open section K, there was only one pair to finish on their dressage score, and this was Sam Rippon and Imperial Gem, who added nothing to their dressage of 32.8 to finish 2nd behind Evangeline Gaskell and B Waltz Lando Z, who took the win on a total of 29.5 when they added 4 cross country time penalties to their 25.5 dressage. Section L saw Katie Stephens-grandy and Trendy Magic Tough and Samantha Jimmison and Kroon Freddie neck and neck for the whole competitions, both scoring 31.3 in the dressage phase followed by the only two double clears in the section. In the end it was Trendy Magic Touch and Katie Stephens-grandy who were closer to the optimum time cross country to take the win.
In the BE105 section N, it was a win for Noah Brook and Up And Over by 6 penalties when they added 4 showjumping and 0.8 cross country time to their dressage of 30.8. Noah also took the win in section O on Fabulous Grafeless, and they were the only combination to make the time in this section. They finished on a score of 39.8 after accumulating 4 faults showjumping to add to their 35.8 dressage. Behind them in 2nd in section N was Emily Hobson and High Light II who also added 4 showjumping faults to their dressage as well as 1.2 time penalties cross country to have a final score of 41.5. Lauren Allin and The Aviator III came 3rd on a score of 42.5 after they added 7.2 time faults cross country to their dressage score of 35.3. 2nd place in section O went to Lucy Robinson and Cosmic Charm, who finished 0.5 penalties behind the winners on a score of 40.3, and Megan Anderson and Lincourt Promise came 3rd with a 39 dressage, double clear and 4 time faults.
