Equestrian Australia Eventing Committee welcomes new Chair

Desk Hughes has been appointed as the new Chair of the Equestrian Australian (EA) Eventing Committee.
Outgoing Chair Will Enzinger stood down after six years on the committee having served his maximum term. As per the EA Committee Appointment and Procedures Policy he is now required to take one year break. During his time on the Eventing Committee Will has steered the committee admirably in an effort to increase the safety of all involved in the sport.
Will said: “When I first stepped on to the committee I never anticipated I would end up in the role of Chair. I am astounded at how much I have learnt about the sport, and the dedication of the amazing people who continue to support Eventing. The Eventing Committee is in great hands with Des and I wish him well in the role.”
Des Hughes said “I am very pleased to be appointed the new Chair of the EA Eventing Committee. Will has done an incredible job during his impressive six-year term and has left some big shoes to fill! The sport is continuing to move forward and I am excited to be involved in its development, particularly with the ‘Making Eventing Safer Program.”
