BLAIR READY FOR THE OFF

Kitty King and Persimmon will lead off the British team on the first morning of the dressage at the Longines FEI European Championships at Blair Castle.

Kitty, the first rider to represent Great Britain at Pony, Junior, Young Rider and Senior championships, will take the arena at 10.44 with Jane Murfett and Frank Inns 10 year old grey gelding. The pairing have good form coming into the championships having coming second in the CCI*** at Bramham  and 3rd at Belton International three star.

Individual riders Gemma Tattersall (Arctic Soul), Sarah Bullimore (Lilly Corinne), Holly Woodhead (DHI Lupison) and Laura Collett (Grand Manoeuvre) will follow one another in the second half of the morning session.

Joseph Murphy will lead off the Irish challenge with Sportsfield Orthello at 10.28. The pair completed the dressage phase at Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials last week before being re-routed.

Dirk Schrade and Hop and Skip will begin the challenge for Germany as they seek to retain the title they won in Malmo two years ago, whilst France will be led off by Lt Col Thibault Vallette and Qing du Briot.
