BICTON ARENA 9th and 10th July

This weekend brings us a 2 days crammed full of exciting eventing action at the wonderful Bicton Arena, generously sponsored by Leonard Coombes, Wyvern Equestrain,  Protexin Equine, KBIS and Air o Wear.

The Leacourt Buster Trophy is also up for grabs in one of this weekends Novice classes, this is awarded and kindly sponsored by John Bevan and Pete Appleford to the highest-placed local rider within a 25 mile radius in the Novice sections.

Special Prizes also include

  • NAF are awarding a bottle of Recover to the winner of each section.
  • West of England Stabling are sponsoring double clear rosettes for competitors from BE80 to BE100
  • Leonard Coombe Saddlery are kindly sponsoring the following in each BE90 section
  • Best turned out – judged in the dressage phase
  • Best score from a Devon competitor
  • Best dressage score

 

For their final event of the season, Bicton Arena is offering FREE stabling to all competitors in the CIC* and CIC** classes at its International Horse trials which take place on August 19 -21. Each competitor will also be given two free bales of Zebra bedding per stable. Stabling for all other horses will cost just £20 per night.

In perfect preparation for the end of season Young Horse Championships, not only will you have the chance to compete in the iconic TopSpec arena, but £500 will be awarded to the best 7 year old in the CIC** and the best 6year old in the CIC* – an amazing prize to congratulate the weekends best young horses – definitely one not to be missed!

A hog roast and music on Saturday, August 20 will be held in aid of The Eventing Family with proceeds donated to its named charities of Hannah’s Wilberry Wonder Pony, Cancer Research UK, the Spinal Research, Teenage Cancer Trust and Motor Neurone Disease Association. There will be a welcome drinks reception for all, and those wishing to stay on for the Hog Roast and music can buy tickets costing £10 per person.

The Horse Trials main sponsors are Rathbones, Equine H and Empire Coach Builders and the event will be supported by Kastner Volvo who provide courtesy cars.

Entry is Free on Friday and £10 per Car on Saturday and Sunday.
