Spread over three days (17th – 19th April) Belton includes a wide range of activities from a Classic Car display to a Dog Show & a 10km charity run and it’s not only the children who will enjoy the traditional merry-go-round and laser clay pigeon shooting which will be on the park all weekend.
For ladies who like to ‘lunch’, your day is definitely Friday 17th April. A special ‘Ladies Day’ ticket for friends or larger groups includes a Prosecco reception sponsored by ‘The Trickling Tap’ of Grantham, a 3 course luncheon, and a flower arranging demonstration by Catkin Flowers. Whether you are in need of a little retail therapy or you want to shop till you drop, there are over 100 stands set around the three event arenas to help make your day! Look at the latest fashions, choose some must-have boots, spoil your horses at one of the fabulous saddlerys or simply browse though the country craft marquee.
Friday also offers plenty of equestrian activity for those who want to see some of the Grantham Cup competition, which draws an international field of the world’s top riders including the world numbers one and two, Britain’s William Fox-Pitt and New Zealand’s Jonelle Price. The Grantham Cup competition concludes on Sunday.
If you want to relax with a coffee while watching the main arena activities, the Ringside Pavilion, which is open to all Belton House and horse trials visitors, is ideally situated on the edge of the oval.
And why not give your dog a fun day out by bringing it along to the Jerry Green Dog Show to compete for the happiest dog prize on Sunday. Or if a more fast and furious activity is your dog’s thing, have-a-go at some agility on our purpose built course.
