BADMINTON GIVES SNEAK GLIMPSE INTO 2016 CROSS COUNTRY DESIGN

Giuseppe Della Chiesa’s third cross country course for the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials will not change direction in 2016, according to its website.

As thoughts turn to the world famous event in May, which will mark Mitsubishi Motors 25th year as title sponsor, planning for the cross country course is underway, with the website saying of the 2016 course: “Visitors will see a considerable development of his ideas, with lots of new fences or elements of fences and an ingenious change of route down in the Vicarage Fields.” A photo taken during the preparations for the 2014 event – Della Chiesa’s first year in charge of designing the cross country course – could provide a clue to the changes afoot.

Course builders The Willis Bros are already hard at work as well as building the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials cross country course, they are also the course builders for the Rio Olympic competition and two members of the team will shortly be heading to Brazil for six weeks.

Ticket prices for the 2016 event have also been listed on the website and are largely unchanged form 2015. The Box Office will open in early January but for those looking for a special Christmas present, Badminton Gift Vouchers are already available and can be sent our ready in time for Christmas. Vouchers can then be redeemed when the Box Office opens in January and no payment will be taken from the buyer’s card until the voucher is returned.

For more information contact the Box Office on + 44 1454 218375 or email boxoffice@badminton-horse.co.uk.
