An Irish eventing league for young horses has a new title sponsor.

From 2019, the Stepping Stones Eventing League, held at Wexford Equestrian Centre, will be sponsored by Childéric Saddles UK.

The series of mini one-day events, run over four weeks culminating in a final, was created four years ago specifically for young

and green horses. It is judged more on the movement and potential of the horse, as opposed to perfection in each phase.

This prestigious event has become an annual highlight for riders of all levels including professional riders. The league also attracts top-level judges and this year include Ann Marie Dunphy, Ian Fearon, Sasha Harrison-Stewart, Mark Ruddock, Jennie Loriston-Clarke, William Fox-Pitt and Liam Maloney.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Tricia Bracegirdle of Childéric Saddles UK said: “As a saddle brand, we fit lots of young and novice horses at the start of their competition careers. The importance of getting this right is imperative for their development, and this echoes the ethos of this event. We’re thrilled to be supporting such innovative.”

Orla Roche & husband Patrick Peare, Owners & Founders of the series said: “We are thrilled to welcome Childéric Saddles as title sponsors and are delighted to partner with such a reputable saddlery brand and team. Many of our competitors already ride in Childéric Saddles, and we hope to be able to bring further awareness for the bespoke brand through this event.”
