British Eventing has announced that Airowear will continue as title sponsors of its successful BE80 Training series in 2016.
The brand, who took up title sponsorship of the series at the start of 2015, will also continue to support the Airowear Cross Country Technical Merit, which rewards competitors for good cross country riding.
Introduced in 2009, the series has received a fantastic response as an introductory step in to the sport, prompting BE to increase the number of BE80(T) hosting events to 81 in 2016. The purpose of the series is to introduce people to the sport with the emphasis on education, safety and fun. Riders taking part receive support from dedicated BE Accredited Coaches who are there to help competitors, completely free of charge.
Airowear is a division of Charles Owen – long standing sponsors of the BE Pony Programme. Roy Burek, Managing Director of Charles Owen, commented: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity for Airowear to sponsor the BE80(T). It is extremely important to us that entry level riders in Eventing are provided support, this series not only offers a great step into the sport but also gives excellent opportunities to gain training and ultimately create safe competitive cross country riding.”
British Eventing Chief Executive, David Holmes, commented; “It is great to see the BE80(T) series heading into the seventh year of fixtures along with the continued and valuable support of Airowear. The popular training series combines the thrill of competition with the support and guidance of BE Accredited Coaches, delivering high quality coaching and a fun atmosphere.”
