Germany’s Olympic Champion Michael Jung will be back at this year’s Mitsubishi Motors Michael JUNG FontainbleauBadminton Horse Trial to defend the title he won in 2016.

Jung will be partnered by last year’s winner and Olympic mount La Biosthetique Sam FBW in what appears to be another attempt to win the Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing – with the German announcing he would also be competing at the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event in April.

Riders from 12 nations have been named on the entry list with strong contingents from New Zealand, Ireland, France and Australia, who will be led by the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials winner Christopher Burton.

As always there is a strong line-up from Great Britain, including Gemma Tattersall, who will partner Artic Soul who came third last year. Other British riders in the mix include Oliver Townend, Kitty King, Pippa Funnell, Laura Collet and Kristina Cook. British debutants at the event include Danni Dunn and Tom Jackson.
