Team EWW are over the moon to have been nominated for two awards in the 2011 Equestrian Social Media Awards.
Thanks to your submissions to the ESMAs we are nominated in the “Talking Animal” category with Chester Da Floying Oirishman and in the “Blogs” category for our collection of columnists.
EWW Editior Paul White said “To think that we only took over the site six months ago, and now we’re nominated for not one but two awards is amazing. When I became Editor I was bombarded with requests to bring back Chester. That was absolutely the right decision, and he could even become the best talking animal in the world!”
Eventing Worldwide were also nominated in the “blog” category, and we can today announce that we will be doubling our number of resident columnists over the next two weeks. Paul added “I’m glad the blogs are so popular, as there’s a lot more to come very soon. We’ve tried to introduce columnists who provide entertainment, and different dimensions of the sport, but essentially it’s the writers themselves who’ve earned this”.
The ESMA’s, which are now in their second year received over 8,000 nominations of the 2012 awards, and nominees are spread across 34 different countries.
The final results are based on 70% on scores from the expert panel and 30% on votes from the public.
Each person can only cast one set of votes. Voting closes at 12noon on 10 February, 2012.
